Contact USAustenitic seamless stainless steel pipe refers to seamless steel tubing whose microstructure remains stable austenite at room temperature. These steels typically use chromium and nickel as the primary alloying elements. A typical example is 18Cr-8Ni (Grade 304) stainless steel. On this basis, additional elements such as molybdenum, titanium, niobium, and copper are introduced to develop high-alloy grades that meet the requirements of more demanding service environments.
Austenitic stainless steels are non-magnetic and exhibit excellent toughness and plasticity, although their strength is relatively low. They cannot be strengthened through phase transformation and can only be strengthened through cold working. When elements such as S, Ca, Se, or Te are added, the material can achieve improved machinability.
Unlike welded pipes, seamless pipes are directly formed through hot extrusion or cold rolling processes, meaning there is no weld seam along the pipe wall. This results in higher pressure resistance, uniform wall thickness, and no risk of weld seam corrosion, making them ideal structural and fluid-transport materials for industries such as petrochemical, shipbuilding, food and pharmaceutical processing, energy equipment, and fluid transportation.

1.Excellent Corrosion Resistance
A natural passivation film forms on the surface, providing resistance to atmospheric corrosion, acids, alkalis, and certain chlorides. 316L, containing molybdenum, offers enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for seawater and chemical media.
2.High and Low Temperature Resistance
The material can operate continuously up to 800°C, with short-term resistance up to 1000–1200°C. It maintains excellent toughness even at low temperatures, preventing brittle fracture.
3.Reliable Seamless Structure
Uniform wall thickness and absence of weld seams eliminate weld-related defects, providing high pressure capacity, superior sealing performance, and reduced leakage risk.
4.Excellent Processability
Good plasticity allows for bending, stamping, and flaring operations. It also offers excellent weldability and strong resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding.
5.Hygienic and Environmentally Friendly
The inner surface is smooth, non-scaling, and easy to clean. It is non-toxic and non-leaching, meeting hygiene requirements for food processing, pharmaceutical production, and drinking water systems.

Round billet heating and piercing (hot rolling process)
Continuous rolling and sizing
Cold drawing or cold rolling finishing
Solution heat treatment
Pickling and passivation
Non-destructive testing (UT / ET)
Hydrostatic pressure testing
Final dimensional and surface inspection
Solution heat treatment is a critical step. It removes cold-working stress, restores the austenitic microstructure, and improves corrosion resistance.
