304L stainless steel pipe is produced from the low-carbon version of the widely used austenitic 18-8 stainless steel. The reduced carbon content allows it to be welded without causing localized corrosion. This is because 304L stainless steel produces less carbide precipitation during welding, which significantly reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion.

TP304L seamless stainless steel pipe (ASTM standard) corresponds to 304L stainless steel, featuring a stable austenitic microstructure and excellent overall performance in various industrial environments.

TP304L stainless steel seamless pipes are manufactured without fillet welds or welded seams. Due to the high-quality material used, these pipes are extremely durable and strong, although their price is relatively higher. They are widely used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications, including boilers, heat exchangers, and condensers. Compared with welded pipes, our TP304L seamless pipes are produced using Cold Drawn or Cold Rolled processes. The typical production flow includes:

  1. Stainless steel billet inspection

  2. Heating and piercing

  3. Hot rolling or continuous rolling

  4. Cold drawing or cold rolling

  5. Solution heat treatment

  6. Pickling and passivation

  7. Straightening and sizing

  8. Non-destructive testing (NDT)

  9. Hydrostatic pressure testing

  10. Finished product inspection
